Robbie studied guitar with Mario Lattuada, Lachlan Wilson and Stephen Magnusson and went on to obtain the Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training (2005), Advanced Diploma of Music Performance

(Jazz/Popular), Box Hill TAFE, 2000 – 2002, Foundation in Music Studies, Box Hill TAFE, 1999. Robbie has worked as a full time music teacher for six years in primary, junior and senior high schools. In terms of performance, a career highlight was playing at Hamer Hall, the Sydney Opera House with James Morrison and Guy Sebastian. Other notable gigs include the Melbourne International Jazz Festival, the Half Bent Jazz Festival, and performance at various clubs in the U.S.A, Japan and South Korea. Robbie is comfortable teaching guitar, theory, and songwriting, in private, group and ensemble settings.
