Yam is an accomplished drummer and percussion educator. He has a varied teaching experience ranging from being faculty at University of Santo Tomas in his native Philippines to working at the British International School (BISS-Pudong) instructing students from the ages of 6 to 13. As a performing musician Yam is well known in the Shanghai scene as drummer in the “Cross Culture” band and percussionist and arranger in the “Lauren Jane” group.
