Jan Prochazka (Czech Republic) Guitar (e, c) Rock Ensemble Jan started to play self-taught guitar when he was 6 years old. At the age of 16 he was an accomplished studio player for many different bands for a wide range of music styles. At 22 he was programming and producing his first CD project ¡°Greg Sun¡± for the BMG band Martha and Thena. While living and working in Prague, Jan cooperated with one of world¡¯s top bouzouki player Spiros Gkumas. At that time he met, worked and performed with many musicians including collaborations with the jazz bass player Pavel Jakub Ryba (the Warwick player who recorded a CD with Mike Stern). In 1999 Jan opened a registered guitar school and had many students. However, he had to leave the school in 2000 when Universal Music offered him the opportunity to work as producer on new projects. Later he also cooperated with other recording companies such as Sony Music and Warner Bros producing many CD¡¯s. Jan did the programming and music production for Hollywood Stunts team, traveling with them to China on the China tour 2006. Now based in Shanghai, Jan works with the Spanish composer and flamenco artist, Abraham Carmona. He performs regularly in Shanghai and within China perfecting his lead jazz guitar and bass guitar. He continues to consult as a producer and programmer and has recently collaborated on Abraham Carmona¡¯s CD ¡°Silencio¡±. |
