Even before completing his degree in Music at the University of Sydney, Adam began teaching guitar. After graduating at the top of his class, he continued to teach full time as well as playing in several diverse bands - from the baroque and medieval styles of The Renaissance Players to the moodier dub/reggae of The Trespassers – as well as releasing some electronic/dance compositions as his alter-ego, G-Boy.

In Shanghai, Adam is continuing his musical activities with his rock band, The Cardinals as well as The Smudgie Bugglers, a duo specializing in improvised organic dance music. He has performed on most of Shanghai’s stages but he is always looking forward to the next show. When not on stage, he divides his time between teaching at the JZ School, the British International School (guitar) and at various elementary schools (music).
