This Month¡¯s tip gives you some suggestions on how to practice successfully.

1.      Use your practice time wisely. Have a daily practice schedule organize (more on that in next Month¡¯s tip).

2.      Don¡¯t play over and over pieces that you can already play. Work more on the difficult passages.

3.      Be self-disciplined, but at the same time, patient with yourself. We all make mistakes!

4.      If a passage is difficulty, slow it down. Then carefully increase the tempo.

5.      Listen to everything you play to produce the best possible sound, not only as indicated by composer¡¯s markings, but to create musical playing. This will continually refine your sound and give you create musical perception and sensitivity.

6.      Mentally sing phrases, to make them flow naturally.

7.      Try to memories everything you can. A good musical memory is a wonderfully asset.
