But there is another way which is a gitano (gypsy) secret.

First I’ll tell you a little about how I got to learn this secret.

My grandfather was a guitarist, also my father. So about 40 years ago there was a famous guitarist from Madrid living in Seville. My grandfather was very interested in to meet him because this guy had a special way of tuning his guitar which nobody else knew how to do.

Finally my grandfather got to meet him and he could not wait any longer and so he asked about the special tuning method.

So then the guy said, ok, I’ll tell you, but this is going to cost you 500 pesetas (3 dollars). That was a lot of money at that time!

But he paid him and all was revealed!

So now I’m going to tell you about the special tuning method for free ;)

You can use this way of tuning to play things in D Major or in C# Major or in F# minor.

Is a great way to experiment with new ideas and open your mind with new chords and new postures for your left hand.
