PLAY GUITAR AND PERCUSSION WITH ONE HAND

There is a way to accompany yourself with a sound like a percussion instrument while at the same time you are playing the guitar. Furthermore, you can do both things with one hand! Flamenco musicians often use this technique.

 

For example, this rhythm;

(So, reproduce the rhythm in your mind until you understand it.)

 

Now, we will see how you how to play it in the guitar;

 

Finger A, plays the guitar.

Finger B, taps the accent of the rhythm.

Now, how lets see how many times finger A moves up and down on any string(s), and when we should use finger B for tapping?

Once you get familiar with this particular technique it can be used for other kinds of rhythms and in different kinds of music too.
