This exercise works for double bass and bass guitar. Playing a major scale in 10ths will help open up your ears to different harmonic possibilities as well as help with your intonation (double bass) and finger position (double bass and bass guitar). Start this exercise out slow, gradually increase the tempo.With this exercise double bass players really need to focus on keeping the left hand relaxed.
