The Long Undertones are the longest serving ensemble group at JZ School having commenced instruction/jamming in late 2006.
It has been quite a long journey, the groups line up and ensemble directorship has changed a few times, however, two of the original group members remain; Chen Hai Yin and Christian Devillers.

The ensemble class meet once a week at JZ School for a two hour session. The chosen musical style is jazz.
The group have been directed by Alec Haavik, Nicholas Bouloukos, Willow Neilson and Liao Cheong. The current current director, JQ Whitcomb, has managed to juggle his work commitments and run the group for a few sessions. The continuity has paid off.
